Dr. Lalchand Chhipa ( Derawala) is a National award-winning artisan who has been actively working to uplift the roots of Bagru art through his deliberate efforts. For the past Generation to generation , he has been offering his services to society by upskilling, training and educating artisans and labs that aim to create beautiful fabric using Bagru print. 

Hand-block printing is the heritage of Rajasthani culture & a precious form of art. He recognizes the importance of preaching fine art and helping the young generation to develop a connection with their roots. In his journey, he has successfully created a career that can draw any young head to choose as their primary source of earning. 

Mr Derawala has earned the long list of certifications/ recognitions, and he is grateful to society for offering him a chance to serve what he truly believes in. His family's legacy is recognized as an expert in hand block printing and is well known as a vital contributor to society.

Domestic associations and sessions are one of the significant parts of his career, and he has been fortunate to represent his art internationally in countries including Argentina, Italy, South Korea and Germany. He is fantastic and always celebrated while showcasing his craft in his way. 

Mr Derawala has been strong-headed to continue his legacy and promote the rich culture of art & craft as long as he is active in the industry. The journey is remarkable and inspiring for one and all.
